Former Oklahoma State cornerback and first round pick Justin Gilbert was reportedly carted off the field during practice on Wednesday.
Check out the full post from our SB Nation Pittsburgh Steelers blog, Behind the Steel Curtain. From that post:
Gilbert played 8 snaps in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, and was primarily used to cover tight end Travis Kelce in specific sub packages. Gilbert did a good job on the field, and seemed to be on the fast track to more playing time, but this knee injury could be a set back for the recently acquired first round draft pick.
Gilbert was traded to the Steelers from the Cleveland Browns on September 3.
Some good news though was reported by Ian Rapoport.
#Steelers CB Justin Gilbert, carted off at practice Wed, is not believed to have suffered a major knee injury despite what it sounded like

Let’s hope he makes his way back onto the field soon!
