What new look will the Cowboys unveil for Iowa State?

What better way to show off your fancy new duds than to invite a team who historically wears the ugliest uniforms in the Big 12.

So here are our expert predictions. As always all points are imaginary and these pics are just to get a rough idea of what we are predicting.

Phillip:

Orange / Orange / Grey - Chrome Orange Pete helmet

I'm going Chrome Orange, Orange, Grey.

So far OSU has gone all white and all black to start conference play. We haven't seen any orange since week 3, and we haven't seen an orange helmet yet, so it's probably time. I'm hoping for something new, but I'll go with the chrome orange with giant Pete we've seen before.

From my research, it appears grey pants were only worn with an orange jersey once with that last kit, against Baylor in 2011. Pretty great memory to draw from. That’s kind of surprising because I think it’s an awesome look. I hope Phillip is right here because I think an orange lid would be an upgrade on the look pictured above.

Robert:

DNP

Helmet...something protective with a face mask, will probably include chrome.

Jersey...home game, so they'll be something other than white, and they'll have numbers. Their names will be on the back.

Pants...probably go just below the knee, and will have a stripe on the side. Oh, and they'll wear socks.

Kyle:

Black / Black / Orange - Black helmet w/ Orange brand

So for someone who said the OSU “brand” was my least favorite symbol, I’ve now picked them two weeks in a row. I guess it’s growing on me somehow this late in the game. The truth is that the orange brand with the orange numbers and pants would look fantastic. This color scheme was worn against Kansas in 2011. There are going to be some other helmets debuted this year but I don’t think Iowa State is the week for that.

I said it on the podcast, so I guess I have to go with it here. Even though I'm completely copying off of Phillip. I'm going O/O/G. We haven't seen an orange helmet yet, so I think we go with that. I also think we will bring out the orange jersey again since we wore black last week. I'm just completely guessing on the pants, but I think it will be a clean look with the double orange. For the helmet, I'm going with the marshal badge with a chrome facemask. We've seen the white and black version of this helmet, so I'm assuming there's an orange.

Again we’ve never seen the O/O/G and now have two predicting it. Let’s see something new. I’m excited.

This is one of my favorite helmets and I’ve been waiting to see how it looks with the new threads.

This combo is a Big 12 home game staple, but i’m very excited to see how it looks in the new format.
