James Washington status in doubt for game against Iowa State

Per multiple reports, Washington will not suit up for today’s game.

After taking a shot to the head against Texas last week, it appears that star wide receiver James Washington will not be playing today against Iowa State, per multiple reports.

Washington was apparently unconscious on the turf for a brief period of time last week, but was held out of the game as a precaution, and not because of a concussion, according to Mike Gundy. It is unclear as to the severity of Washington’s injury, but it’s a big loss for the time being.

Expect a lot of playing time for Chris Lacy in Washington’s absence.
