Mike Gundy could be looking for a new running backs coach this offseason.
According to coachingsearch.com, OSU running backs coach Marcus Arroyo is a candidate for the Offensive Coordinator position at Fresno State. The Bulldogs are expected to name former Cal coach Jeff Tedford as their new head coach on Friday. Fresno State fired head coach Tim DeRuyter in October after a 1-6 start to the season. Arroyo and Tedford have history together.
Arroyo has served as the Cowboy’s running backs coach since February 2015. He’s been one of Gundy’s best recruiters since he joined the team, including playing an integral role in landing running backs like Chris Carson and Justice Hill. He’s also one of the coaching staffs most avid tweeters, especially with the #RareBreed branding.
