Big news for the Pokes came out of South Miami Thursday morning, as a pair of four star teammates signed their National Letters of Intent as part of the early signing period.
Zack Dawson, a 6-4 point guard, and Latravian Glover, a 6-7 center who is projected to play small forward in college, signed with the Cowboys Thursday morning.

OSU released an article on their website regarding the two new recruits.
According to the Miami Herald, Dawson averaged 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game last season. Unfortunately for Glover, he tore his meniscus last season, but is back this year looking to help lead the Cobras back to the state tournament.
Dawson made it official after he verbally committed to OSU back in June. Dawson had offers from from several schools including Louisville, Arizona, Florida Gulf Coast, FIU, UCF, Kansas State and Iowa State.
Remember back in the early 2010s when everyone was going to Flower Mound, Texas to try and recruit a kid named Marcus Smart? Well, former coach Travis Ford was able to see past Smart and look at the other players on the team. Enter Phil Forte. To make a long story short, Ford offered a scholarship to not only Smart, but also to Forte. Some say this is the reason OSU was able to land Smart - because they also went after Forte. The two were like brothers.
So why do I bring this all up? We see it again here with Dawson and Glover. According to the Miami Herald article,
When talking about their commitment, Dawson said,
Glover said,
Congratulations to the two teammates and good luck on their upcoming season! We cannot wait to see you in the orange and black next year!
