Tweets of the Week: 10/27-11/2

Everything else other than Homecoming.

Other things have happened in the past week besides Homecoming - not a lot mind you - but there have been other things. Everyone seems to be suffering from a Homecoming hangover, either that or I’m not perusing social media as much as I used to. For some of the best tweets from Homecoming, click here.

As always, if you have a tweet you want us to consider adding to our tweets of the week, go ahead and tag us in it! Make sure to either tag the main account (@CowboysRFF) or myself (@TDWiederhoeft) so we get your submission. Whether it be a funny tweet, a promotional tweet, a serious tweet, it doesn’t matter. The only rule is it must be related to OSU in some way.

Monday was Halloween. There were plenty of OSU-related costumes out and about.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Vincent Taylor actually was a cyborg.

This. I love this.

Vincent Taylor is on the verge of breaking his own OSU record when they play Kansas State this Saturday.

Students now have their own parking lot for basketball games, so that’s exciting!

Men’s basketball prepared themselves in case they were needed on the football team a la The Longest Yard.

Gundy approves.

Tuesday night was the exhibition game for men’s basketball, where they soundly defeated Pittsburg State 117-64. For the first time, Coach Brad Underwood walked into Gallagher-Iba Arena to coach the Cowboys - a moment he has been looking forward to since he signed on back in March.

The arena itself was still feeling the effects of Homecoming weekend...

I don’t know about you, but I’m glad it is finally here.

In case you were wondering.

People took notice of the new-look Cowboys.

The Cowboys, in Brad Underwood’s first game, broke the all time school record for most points scored (117).

Speaking of Trey Reeves, the freshman was actually the one to make the shot to give OSU the record. The bench’s reaction - especially Phil Forte - is absolute gold.

FOX Sports SW+ had some technical difficulties with their scoreboard once the Pokes eclipsed the 100 point mark, forcing them to go the last portion of the game without a scoreboard graphic.

Then there’s the tweets that just make you laugh. Here are a few of my favorites from this past week.

Apparently, FSSW+ isn’t included in a lot of TV packages, therefore streaming the game on FoxSportsGo was tough to do.

The Minnesotan in me is squirming because of the weather and the earthquakes. Cannot agree more Zac.

So, what did I miss? Let me know in the comments with a link to the tweet and I’ll do a separate section the following week dedicated to what I missed.
