On Wednesday, Jawun Evans was named to the Maui Jim Maui Invitational All-Tournament Team.

In the tournament, Evans averaged 26.0 points per game (second best), 4.3 assists per game (third best), and 2.7 steals per game (second best).

Through the first six games, Evans is averaging 24.7 ppg, 5.3 apg, 2.8 spg, 3.0 rebounds per game on 50% shooting from the field. How good has Evans been so far this year? Let’s look at the stats...

I realize it is still early, but this is an impressive start to the Naismith Trophy hopeful’s sophomore season.

Rounding out the Maui Invitational All-Tournament team is:

  • Rohndell Goodwin - Guard - Chaminade
  • Kennedy Meeks - Forward - North Carolina
  • Jalen Adams - Guard - UConn
  • Ethan Happ - Forward - Wisconsin

North Carolina guard Joel Berry II was named the MVP of the tournament.

Up next, the Pokes return to Stillwater to take on the Rogers State Hillcats on Wednesday night.
