The fifth College Football Playoff rankings came out earlier this evening. OSU remains locked in at #10, and OU dropped a spot from #8 to #9. This sets up a battle of top 10, in-state rivals for the Big 12 Championship this Saturday in Norman. As if we weren’t already excited enough.

Unfortunately, the way these rankings shaped up, the Big 12 is almost certainly eliminated from the four-team playoff no matter what happens this week.
#OKState remains No. 10. #Sooners drop to No. 9. Hard to see the Big 12 making the playoff at this point.

ESPN’s Danny Kanell stated during the College Football Playoff show, “They (Big 12) would need mayhem to get in”... Whatever, Danny. Nice turtleneck the other day, by the way.

On the bright side, the Cowboys have a shot to beat their rival, a top 10 team, and take home their second Big 12 title. Go Pokes, Beat OU!
