In two games last week, Evans averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.5 steals a game. He had his fifth 20-point game against Rogers State on Wednesday, then followed that up with 16 points and 5 assists, and nearly hit the game winner against Maryland on the road Saturday night.
So far this season, Evans is averaging 23 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals a game for the Cowboys. He’s shooting 48 percent from the field, including 52 percent from behind the arch.
Evans split the “player of the week” honor with Baylor guard Manu Lecomte.
