We’ve already delved into the latest regarding Head Coach Mike Gundy and the schools he could have “potentially” been in play for. However, Gundy isn’'t the only Oklahoma State coach being rumored for other jobs.
OSU Running Backs Coach Marcus Arroyo’s name has been widely mentioned in connection with possible jobs, including the San Jose State and Nevada head coaching positions.
It now seems that Oregon State Wide Receiver Coach Brent Brennan will be named head coach of San Jose State.

If ESPN wasn’t enough, Coach Arroyo himself seemed to confirm the news on twitter.
Soooo fired up for my man @coachbrennan and @SJSUSpartanFB !!! HOMERUN!!!

According to Fox Sports, Arroyo is also no longer in the running for the Nevada head coaching position, though it’s not clear how close he ever was to the job.
If you didn’t know, Arroyo played quarterback for the San Jose State Spartans and was also on the coaching staff for a period of time. It would have been tough for Gundy to lose one of his best recruiters.
The other coaching rumor was regarding OSU Defensive Coordinator Glenn Spencer. Earlier this week Robert Allen of GoPokes reported that Spencer had spoken with Georgia State about their vacant head coaching position. Now, Allen says Spencer is no longer in the mix.
Just so everyone can keep up. Mike Gundy was recruiting Tuesday and I've learned Glenn Spencer, also recruiting no longer involved w/Ga.St.

Obviously it’s still early and either coach could be up for another job that comes open. However, I (and I’m pretty sure Gundy) believe in the benefits of continuity. Keeping an entire staff together this off-season, especially after a 9 (potentially 10) win season would be a major win for the Cowboys.
