Despite hanging around Texas throughout the game, the Cowgirls fell short to the Longhorns, 55-70.

Last time these two teams met, the Cowgirls suffered their worst loss of the season when they lost to the Longhorns by 30. In the first quarter, OSU had six offensive rebounds that turned into 13 second-chance points and made three three-pointers that kept them in the lead, 19-15. However, the Longhorns came back in the second quarter with a 10-0 run to take the lead into halftime, 31-27.

In the second half, OSU stayed close with the Longhorns, but Texas made another run (11-0) to extend the lead to eight. Senior All-American Brittney Martin's double-double streak finally ended, she had 21 points and nine rebounds to end the game. Despite the loss, the Cowgirls move to 18-5 overall, 8-4 in the conference and still remain third place in the Big 12 standings. The Cowgirls look to regain as they return to home court on Saturday as they take on the No. 24 West Virginia Mountaineers.
