The fourth-ranked Oklahoma State wrestling team won its ninth-consecutive dual with a 36-3 rout of Army on Friday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowboys (11-2, 6-0 in Big 12) won nine of the dual's 10 matches, including four bonus-point victories. No. 13 Anthony Collica (149) and top-ranked Alex Dieringer won by fall, No. 6 Eddie Klimara (125) grabbed a technical fall and No. 5 Austin Marsden (285) won by major decision.
Russell Parsons handed the Cowboys their lone loss at 157 pounds. Ryan Blees made his second dual start this season in place of No. 6 Joe Smith, and fell thy 10-4 decision to Parsons.
Kilmara put the Cowboys on the board with a 15-0 technical fall over Jacob Fontanez, a Stillwater High product, for his 99th career victory. At 133, Gary Wayne Harding had four takedowns and almost four minutes of riding time for a 10-3 decision.
Top-ranked Dean Heil improved to 22-0 with a 7-2 win over Army's Logan Everett. Collicia kept things rolling with an offensive showcase at 149. He had six takedowns before pinning Mark Marchetti at 6:05.
Two-time national champion Alex Dieringer extended his win streak to 71 with a fall in the final second against Andrew Mendel. It is Dieringer's 22nd bonus-point victory this season as he continues to make his case for the Hodge Trophy.
Army was favored at 174, but no one told redshirt freshman Chandler Rogers, a Stillwater product, that, who stepped into the lineup for Kyle Crutchmer, who was on the sidelines in a walking boot and crutches. Rogers built an early lead and racked up enough riding time in the second period for a 11-8 upset over No. 18 Brian Harvey to clinch the dual as the Cowboys led 26-3.
Nolan Boyd entered his match brimming with confidence after the biggest upset of the season by knocking off top-ranked Gabe Dean last Sunday. The No. 14 Boyd picked up a 10-3 win over Samson Imonode to keep his momentum rolling.
Preston Weigel fought off a late rally by Army's Bryce Barnes for a 10-8 win then Marsden extended his win streak to 14 with a dominating 12-3 win over Trevor Smith.
The Cowboys return to the mat against Stanford on Sunday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
