Johny Hendricks will make his return to the octagon against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200, reports MMAFighting.com.
Hendricks, the former UFC Welterweight Champion and a two-time NCAA national champion wrestler at Oklahoma State, is coming off a first-round TKO loss to Stephen Thompson in February. It was the first time in Hendricks' (17-4, 12-4 UFC) career he has been finished by an opponent. He is currently ranked the No. 5 Welterweight in the UFC.
Gastelum (11-2) is also coming off a loss, a split decision to Neil Magny in November. He was scheduled to face Kyle Noke on Jan. 2 at UFC 195, however on Dec. 22, he pulled out of the fight due a wrist injury. Gastelum holds the No. 12 ranking.
UFC 200 will take place July 9 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Connor McGregor, the current UFC featherweight champion, will look to avenge his only UFC loss against Nate Diaz at 170 pounds in the main event. Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar will fight for the UFC interim featherweight belt.
