Mason Rudolph's Heisman Chances Set at 50-1

Rob Ferguson-USA TODAY Sports

Oklahoma State junior quarterback Mason Rudolph was recently listed in a BleacherReport article as a sleeper candidate for the 2016 Heisman Trophy. The site listed the Cowboy's odds as 50-1.

Here are Rudolph's statistics from last season:

CMP% YDS TD INT RAT
62.3% 3770 21 9 149.1

Rudolph was ranked 10th nationally fin yards per attempt (8.9) and 26th nationally in passing efficiency (149.04). Rudolph's total QB rating for 2015 was 71.5, which placed him as No. 27 in ESPN's QBR list.

Rudolph also produced in 2014 after taking the reigns against Baylor late in the season. Rudolph, a then-freshman, threw for over 850 yards and six touchdowns in three games.

Considering that QB partner J.W. Walsh will not be there this season, expect Rudolph's numbers to increase. With plenty of help from players like James Washington and Marcel Ateman, Rudolph should have no issue in becoming the Big 12's next elite quarterback.
