This was a difficult round of projections to do for a couple of reasons. Firstly, there are about 12 teams capable of being national seeds and obviously only eight teams can be selected. Second, the West coast is weak for the second straight season, which creates challenges for selecting host sites.
Lastly, it is the first week of April. It is still too early to fully get a grasp on how the field is going to play out, but that doesn't stop us from trying to project it.
