The Oklahoma State men's golf team is all alone in first place at their own regional, after leaving rival Oklahoma and the rest of the competition in the dust on day one.
The No. 1 overall seed Cowboys took a commanding seven-shot lead over the Sooners in the Stillwater regional, led by Big 12 champion Stratton Nolen.
Nolen leads the tournament after the front nine with a 68. Kristoffer Ventura joined Nolen in the top five, as the sophomore shot a 71. Sam Stevens also cracked the top 10 to help the Pokes take commanding lead after nine holes.
The Cowboys look to hold on and advance out of their own regional tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. Oklahoma State will be paired up with the No. 3 seed Oklahoma, and the No. 10 seed Louisville.
Check back with CRFF tomorrow for full coverage on the second day of regionals.
