OSU Men's Golf Team Leads Regionals After Second Round

The Cowboys distanced themselves from the rest of the pack on Tuesday.

Oklahoma State is eyeing another regional championship. The men's golf team built off of Monday's success, and kept the competition at arm's length on Tuesday. After Monday's round concluded, OSU had built a seven-shot lead on second-place Oklahoma. By the end of Tuesday's second round, that lead had swelled to 12 shots.

Oklahoma State sits at even par overall for the tournament, after posting a +3 (total score of 291) today. Oklahoma trails OSU, sitting at +12 for the tournament, followed by Purdue at +26.

OSU redshirt-freshman Stratton Nolen followed Monday's 68 with a 73 today in the second round, and is tied with Antoine Rozner of Missouri-Kansas City at three strokes under par for the tournament. Kristoffer Ventura sits two strokes behind Nolan and Rozner at -1.

After two days of play, OSU is essentially a lock to advance to the NCAA tournament. The top five teams in the Stillwater regional will advance to the tournament.

3. Purdue (+26)

4. Clemson (+33)

5. Louisville (+35)
