What we know about Netherlands big man Lucas N'Guessan

Has OSU finally found their big man?

The Cowboys received another commitment last week from Dutch center, 7-footer Lucas N'Guessan.

The Cowboys have been looking for a quality big for a long time and you can bet it's close to the top of first year head coach Brad Underwood's recruiting priority list.

There should be plenty of opportunities for N'Guessan to compete for early time in the post. Let's face it. Junior Mitchell Solomon and senior Igor Ibaka have not exactly set the world on fire.

Solomon was inconsistent, seemingly taking a step back in his sophomore year, and Ibaka was never really given much of a shot last year under Ford.

N'Guessan, originally from the Netherlands, plays for Canarias Basketball Academy in Spain. Here is N'Guessan talking about his recent commitment, per his team's website.

"I´m very thankful to Rob Orellana and to all CBA´s coaches for helping me during my three years at the Academy. Here I trained daily with the ex NBA Champion and ex Euroleague player Richard Petruska for countless hours and that really helped me in my development. Now, I want to enjoy this opportunity at Oklahoma St and work as hard as I can for Coach Underwood and his staff."

N'Guessan played for the Netherlands national team in the 2015 Under 18 FIBA Championships where he averaged 3.9 points and 5.1 rebounds in just over 13 minutes per game.

The good news?

N'Guessan seems to have some offensive skill and moves well for his size. Check out some of his highlights.
