The good news continues to roll in for the Cowgirl softball team.
On Tuesday the Big 12 announced Vanessa Shippy as the co-conference player of the year.

Shippy finished second in individual batting and hits in league play, and lead the league in runs scored and stolen bases.
Fellow Cowgirls Taylor Lynch and Madi Sue Montogomery were named to both the Big 12 second team and freshman team. The success of those two as well as Shippy, who is only a sophmore, bodes well for both the team and head coach Kenny Gajewski's future.
The three of them helped lead the team to a 29-24 overall record. That was good enough to help the Cowgirls get an invite to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.
OSU heads to Athens, Georgia, for the Georgia regional. They will face Northwestern on Friday, May 20th in the first round. That game will be available on ESPN 3.
The team is hosting a send-off party this morning at the Stillwater Regional Airport.
