The NCAA tournament is now less than three weeks away and with conference tournament season quickly approaching the field is starting to take shape.
With the West coast shaping up the way it is I figured it was finally time to put the Pac-12 leaders Utah into the field even with a sub-.500 record. While Arizona and Cal State Fullerton may not have the strongest resumes I believe the committee will go with two western hosts and they're the best of the bunch at this point.
As for the Cowboys, losing two of three to Oklahoma and dropping a midweek contest to Oral Roberts will likely rule out hosting. At this point OSU will need to win the Big 12 tournament and will need some help from other teams to even think about hosting. Even though OSU is higher in the conference standings I think the committee would give the nod to TCU because of its better RPI.
