Rickie Fowler will tee off in the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship today, looking to grab just the fourth PGA tour victory of his career. He took the lead Saturday with the low round of the day, shooting a 4-under par 68. He currently has a one stroke lead over Roberto Castro and is two ahead of James Hahn and Justin Rose.
A win this weekend would be a step in the right direction, after a mixed bag of performances to start the year. He lost in a playoff at the Waste Management Phoenix Open in February. He missed the cut at the Masters, and tied for 20th at the Zurich Classic last week.
The Wells Fargo is actually where Fowler claimed his first PGA tour victory back in 2012, and as Golf Channel's Rex Hoggard points out, today could mark a second straight Mother's Day weekend win for Rickie.
Fowler will be paired with Castro today. He tees off at 12:25 p.m.
