Brad Underwood is making #moves, y’all. After we learned about Oklahoma State playing Maryland in College Park this season, it became apparent that this year’s non-conference schedule would be tough. Along with the Maui Invitational, the Pokes are going to be tested early.
It was announced on Friday that Oklahoma State had scheduled a home-and-home series with Wichita State, to begin this season. OSU will play WSU at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Ks., in 2016, and WSU will travel to Gallagher-Iba Arena in 2017. The news was first reported by Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World.

The Shockers lost a lot from last year’s NCAA Tournament team. Absent from that 2015-16 team is PG Fred VanVleet, SG Ron Baker, SF Evan Wessel, and PF Anton Grady. There will be plenty of new faces for the Shockers, but with a coach like Gregg Marshall, you can expect them to be a great early-season test for Underwood and his new squad.
