When: 2 P.M. CST
Where: T.D. Ameritrade Park, Omaha, Neb.
Where to watch/listen: ESPN2. Listen on KSPI 93.7 or here.
Oklahoma State takes on Arizona for the second time in Omaha, and don’t expect this matchup to be much different than the first. Granted, another 1-0 shutout is unlikely, but expect another low-scoring game.
The Cowboys will start freshman RHP Jensen Elliott, who has not pitched in 19 days. That being said, Elliott should be fresh and ready to go. In his last outing against Clemson, Elliott went 6.0 IP, gave up just four hits, struck out eight batters, gave up just one walk and one earned run. If OSU wants to avoid a winner-take-all game against Arizona tomorrow, they will need a similar outing from Elliott today.
For the Wildcats, they will be starting their ace, Nathan Bannister. Bannister has a 12-2 record and leads the country in innings pitched at 139 2/3 IP.
