And today, in the least surprising turn of events ever ...
James Washington and Marcell Ateman were named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch list for the 2016-17 season. The duo on the outside really blossomed near the end of the season last year, and people are starting to take notice. Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World first reported the news:
#OKState WRs James Washington and Marcell Ateman named to Biletnikoff Award watch list.

In 2015, Washington caught 53 passes for 1,087 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had a 75 yard touchdown run against Texas Tech.
Ateman caught 45 passes for 766 yards and five touchdowns last season.
If Washington duplicates his output in 2015, I’d expect him to be a frontrunner for the award in late November. Ateman, with his 6-4 frame and freakish athleticism, can take advantage of what is sure to be a large amount of double teams due to the man on the other side of the field.
The two figure to be terrors on the outside, and with Mason Rudolph throwing them the ball, who knows what could happen?
