Junior right-handed pitcher Tyler Buffett announced Wednesday that he would return to Stillwater for his senior season via his Twitter account.

This comes less than two weeks after Trey Cobb made a similar announcement. Buffet was drafted by the Houston Astros in the seventh round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
Buffett led the staff with 37 appearances mostly from the bullpen. He tallied nine saves before moving into the starting rotation famously after a rough outing in the Big 12 Tournament. He ended with a 2.81 ERA, allowing 32 runs.
Buffett was stellar in post season play, including dominating efforts against Clemson, South Carolina and Arizona. This is a big deal for Holliday's 2017 squad who returns three pitchers with significant starting experience in Buffett, Trey Cobb and Jensen Elliott.
The Voice gets it.
I call it a 1-2-3 punch with Jensen Elliott! #GoPokes https://t.co/ufVQsxRUHe
