The Maxwell Football Club announced it’s Maxwell and Bednarik Award Watch Lists for this upcoming season. Mason Rudolph and James Washington found themselves on the Maxwell list, while Jordan Sterns is eyeing the Bednarik award.
A lot is expected out of Rudolph this season, as our red zone specialist, J.W. Walsh, has graduated. The red zone snaps will likely be taken by Rudolph, and hopefully he will see his numbers sky rocket. Just for kicks and giggles, if you combined Walsh’s and Rudolph’s stats from last season, you have a QB who threw for more than 4,500 yards and 34 TD’s. Those are Heisman numbers...
James "Touchdown or Bust" Washington is a man among boys. 53 receptions, 1,087 yards, 10 TD’s, and he averaged over 20 yards per reception. This Junior wide receiver is the best in the Big 12, and you can argue, one of the best in the whole country. Expect a lot of #Rudolph2Washington next season, folks.
Senior safety, Jordan Sterns, is the leader of the defense, and has evolved into one of the best tackling safeties in all of college football. Sterns averaged over 8 tackles per game last season. With the loss of a few key defensive contributors from last season, expect Sterns to step up and dominate his senior campaign.
