Christian Trahan, a three-star tight end from Sulphur HS (Sulphur, LA) announced an offer from Oklahoma State via his Twitter account.
The 6-foot-3, 238-pound 2018 prospect appears to be flying under the radar, at least for now. He holds offers from Louisiana Tech, SMU and others per 247Sports.
Check out this article from The Subway Alum, a recruiting site. Here's a tidbit about Trahan.
"Trahan has the traits to be an ideal fit in the power run game and pistol schemes on offense. He lines up routinely in the backfield at H-Back while setting an edge along the line of scrimmage at tight end."
Here's more on Trahan as a receiver.
"As a pass-catcher, Trahan has soft hands with deceptive down hill speed. High points the football and has natural skills running patterns in the seam of the field. Difficult for defenders to bring down due to great size and pad level."
It sounds like Trahan fits right into the mold of what Mike Gundy and Cowboy Backs coach Jason McEndoo are looking for to fill their hybrid tight end/fullback role.
