Get excited for JD King

JD King is a beast.

While the Cowboys seem to have found a playmaker moving forward in Justice Hill, there’s a 2017 running back commit headed to Stillwater that should have Oklahoma State fans excited as well.

Georgia running back JD King committed to Oklahoma State back in May. The Fitzgerald HS (Fitzgerald, GA) prospect was recently featured in an article by Recruit Georgia which you can read here.

Here’s a quote from Fitzgerald’s defensive line coach Jesse Lynch on King’s recruiting process.

"Multiple schools from Power 5 conferences have asked if he would entertain the thought of decommiting from Oklahoma State if they were to offer, but he has been rock solid to OSU." Lynch continued, "He and Oklahoma State RBs coach Marcus Arroyo have a really good relationship, and Stillwater has a similar feel to that of Fitzgerald."

That's good news for second-year running backs coach Marcus Arroyo. King won't be lacking for attention from other schools, especially if he keeps having games like this past weekend where he racked up 260 yards and four touchdowns.

At 5 foot 11 and 205 pounds, King has the size to compete for reps early. He's quick enough to break away from defenders but also strong enough to bull-doze through a few, if need be.

Take a look at King’s hudl highlights.
