James Washington was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after a record breaking performance against Pittsburgh. Washington caught 9 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys 45-38 win on Saturday. His 231 receiving yards in the first half set an OSU record. Washington was also named the Walter Camp National Offensive Player of the Week.
Punter Zach Sinor was named Special Teams Player of the Week by the league. Sinor landed four of his six punts inside the 20. That includes two in the fourth quarter, with the game on the line, that pinned Pittsburgh inside their own 15 yard line; a 51-yarder fair caught at the 10 and a 34-yarder fair caught at the 11.
Washington and Sinor are the first two Cowboys to receive “Player of the Week” honors from the league this season.
