Mason Rudolph is a Top 10 Pick to Win The Heisman

He has the same odds as a National Championship runner-up

NCAA Football: Alamo Bowl-Oklahoma State vs Colorado Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

We’re still months away from the start of the 2017 college football season, but that doesn’t stop gamblers from placing their bets.

Online gambling website Bovada.com released their odds for this season’s Heisman winner and Oklahoma State Quarterback Mason Rudolph opens at 12/1.

That’s tied for the 9th best odds with fellow quarterbacks Deondre Francis (Florida State), Josh Rosen (UCLA), and Jalen Hurts (Alabam). That is not bad company to be in.

Our own Joel Penfield wrote about the early Heisman hype for Rudolph this weekend, and made some good points including what Rudolph needs to do to be invited to New York for the trophy ceremony.

Fellow Big 12 QB Baker Mayfield is currently the favorite, followed by Ohio State’s J.T. Barrett, and last season’s Heisman winner Lamar Jackson.

It wont be easy, but with James Washington returning for another season and the rest of the talent in the receiving corp, Rudolph will certainly have the help he needs to take home the trophy.
