Oklahoma State Football: Twitter war breaks out between Oklahoma/Oklahoma State players

Bedlam can not come soon enough.

Bedlam basketball tips off in, like, an hour, but words are being exchanged between players from both football teams on Twitter.

Earlier today, incoming OSU defensive tackle Fua Leilua sent out a confident tweet about his squad next season.

Nothing too out of control here, right?

Not according to Baker Mayfield. He responded in the most Mayfield-esque fashion ever.

The most egregious error on the part of Mayfield is that he tweeted a recruit! Who does that?! Somebody needs to show him this handy little flow-chart.

So ... things died down for a bit, until OSU wide receiver Tyron Johnson dropped the mic on Mayfield.

Mayfield responded, calling Johnson “Little Brother.” Real original, bro.

Johnson followed up with this. The 2017 Cowboys are gonna be some dogs. Some good dogs.

Bedlam was already going to be a hell of a matchup between two great teams, but now there’s an added edge to it. I love the new guy (Johnson) coming in from the top rope and slamming a Big 12 veteran on Twitter. It’s great.

Also, I thought Bedlam wasn’t a rivalry? Right?

Either way, November 4th is going to be a freaking blast in Stillwater. Boone Pickens Stadium will be en fuego. I can’t wait.

We will continue to update this story as more football players tweet at each other.
