We good? Everybody still alive? What a game, right?
For the first time since 2004, Oklahoma State toppled the Sooners in Norman. This was a back-and-forth contest, with both teams struggling to maintain leads throughout most of the game. The Sooners had a seven-point lead at one point in the first half, and the Cowboys stretched out a 10-point lead in the second half. In the end, all that did was set the stage for a legendary finish to Bedlam.
Let’s revisit that end-game sequence, shall we?
Down by 3, Mitchell Solomon stepped to the free throw line and knocked down two clutch free throws with 24 seconds left. On the inbound pass, Jawun Evans forced a turnover and forced up a floater that fell harmlessly into the arms of Jeffrey Carroll, who then had his shot blocked. A kickout pass and a split-second later, Phil Forte drilled a three that will live on in the hearts of Cowboy fans forever.
Here it is.
Never a dull moment in Bedlam!
