Freshman Cowboy Wrestler Goes Undefeated in U23 World Team Trials
OSU wrestling: Daton Fix makes USA U23 roster https://t.co/GMQ4nzTqXy
— NewsOK (@NewsOK) October 10, 2017
Oklahoma State freshman Daton Fix earned a spot on the USA roster at the U23 World Wrestling Championship after going unbeaten at the Freestyle World Team Trials on Sunday in Rochester, Minn.
Wrestling at 57 kg, Fix defeated three-time All-American and 2015 NCAA champion Nathan Tomasello in a best-of-three match to earn his roster spot.
Oklahoma State has a new freshman phenom. Daton Fix, out of Sand Springs, looks to be the next Oklahoma State great, and it looks like he’s got a shot to show what he’s all about on a world stage this November.
USA! USA! USA!

Boston Gives John Farrell the Boot
The #RedSox announced today that John Farrell will not return as manager in 2018. A search for a new manager will begin immediately.
— Red Sox (@RedSox) October 11, 2017
Former Cowpoke, John Farrell, will be looking for another Major League managing job starting today. He was dismissed after a ALDS series loss (3-1) against the Houston Astros. Farrell won a World Series in 2013, his first year as manager. After the 2013 championship, it was a bit of a bumpy road for the Red Sox. Baseball is a fickle business, and Boston decided to move on without Farrell.
Farrell’s career win-loss record: 586-548. I’m sure he’ll land on his feet somewhere.
