Homecoming and Hoops is tomorrow night at Gallagher-Iba Arena, and will mark the beginning of the 2017-18 men’s basketball season. It will be the first look at the Cowboys in the Mike Boynton era. It will also be the debut for graduate-transfer point guard, Kendall Smith.
Smith transferred to the Pokes months ago, and has been compared to Russell Westbrook with his ability to score and fly high above the rim.
While we’ll get to see this first-hand tomorrow night, Smith gave fans a sneak-peek of his high-flying ability with this Twitter video:

So much going on here, but a windmill alley-oop slam should get anyone excited. With Smith running the point, Jeff Carroll at the wing, and another freak athlete in Zach Dawson, the Cowboy backcourt should be must-watch television this season.
