The man with the flowing mullet in Stillwater is more than just a guy with a sweet haircut; he’s one of the nation’s top coaches. On Wednesday, it was announced that Mike Gundy was named a finalist for the Bear Bryant National Coach of the Year award.

Gundy joins two other Big 12 coaches in TCU’s Gary Patterson, and Oklahoma’s Lincoln Riley. The award is the highest honor for a coach in college football.
Gundy won the award in 2011, the year he led Oklahoma State to its first Big 12 title, and its first BCS (RIP) bowl win. This is his third time being named an award finalist.
