The Cowboys come into today’s game after a convincing win over Baylor last week. Today’s trip starts the team’s “gauntlet” of the 2017 season, with dates against Texas in Austin this week, West Virginia in Morgantown, OU at home and Iowa State in Ames coming up in the next month.

The three-game stretch of Texas, WVU and OU was ranked the eighth-toughest three game stretch of the year before the season started. Adding Iowa State to the mix is almost not fair. We will see what this team is made of in a month and how its playoff dreams are doing. (Yes, I believe OSU still has an outside chance at a playoff shot. Win out and beat TCU in the championship game should do it.)

Texas is 14-1 since 2002 in the game following the Red River Shootout. The only loss was to the 2011 Oklahoma State team.

The Cowboys have a chance to make history today as well.

As is the custom, here is this week’s hype video.
