Sunday was full of good news for Oklahoma State. First, Head Coach Mike Boynton announced that he had filled his coaching staff with Scott Sutton.

Now, he has a commitment for the Class of 2018.

Duncan Demuth is a power forward out of Seminole, Florida. He shared this message about his commitment on Twitter:

“First I would like to thank god for all of my blessings and allowing me to play the sport I love. I would also like to thank my parents and family members for the opportunities they have given me and for always believing in me. Next to Coach Thorpe, Coach Walker, Coach Ed, Coach Nate, The Athlete and many others for always pushing me to be my best and never accepting less, also helping me chase my dream to play college basketball. My girlfriend for always having my back through this tough decision, and to all of my friends and teammates for being there, your guys support means the world to me. I would like to thank all the coaches who recruited me, but at this time I would like to commit to Coach Boynton and Oklahoma State University. Go Pokes!!”

Demuth likely has to duck as he enters a doorway, as he measures up at 6’8 and 215 pounds. The PF took an official visit Oct. 13, nine days before committing to the Pokes, according to 247sports.com.

Demuth had multiple offers, including Florida State, Iowa State, South Carolina and other smaller schools.

Demuth is the only commit in the Class of 2018, since Antwann Jones decommitted as part of the Lamont Evans fallout.
