With the college football coaching carousel in full swing, coaches all across the country are inundated with phone calls and tweets linking them to various job openings.
Today, Pat Jones claimed Mike Gundy was offered the open Florida job, before it was eventually filled by Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen.
Pat Jones says Florida offered Mike Gundy the job after Chip Kelly & Scott Frost. Says Mike didn’t use it to negotiate with #okstate. "This job was offered to Mike Gundy."

Pat Jones says on The Sports Animal the Florida job was offered to Mike Gundy. Interesting.

It’s not uncommon for Gundy’s name to be linked to open jobs. We’ve seen it before with Tennessee, Arkansas, and even Baylor last year. This year seems different though, and Gundy didn’t use the alleged Florida offer for leverage. The big dogs have come calling before, but it looks like he genuinely wants to stay here.
