Oklahoma State will receive a much-needed interior defensive boost today in the form of 6’10” center, Yankuba Sima.
Sima, a transfer from St. John’s, sat out the fall semester due to NCAA transfer restrictions, but is eligible to make his debut today against Florida State.
Just in from #OKState: Yankuba Sima is officially eligible for Saturday's game vs. Florida State. Should give OSU defense a boost inside.

With his size, he’s expected to provide an immediate impact defensively. On the offensive end, he’s a work in progress. During his sophomore season at St. John’s, he averaged 6.0 points per game, and 3.5 rebounds per game, although he played sparsely.
Today, Sima and Mitchell Solomon will have their hands full against a crazy-athletic Florida State team. That being said, Sima’s length and athleticism could make things tough against the Seminoles.
A year after his arrival in Stillwater, Yankuba Sima makes his #OKState debut Saturday. He'll try to be the shot blocker OSU has longed for: https://t.co/hMvu3l78UL pic.twitter.com/USVFcwFvz9
