“Twas the Night Before Early Signing Day”

Twas the Night Before Early Signing Day, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse:

The orange stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that Santa Gundy would soon be there;

The recruits were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of Boone Pickens Stadium danced in their heads;

And mamma in her Barry Sanders jersey, and dad in his OSU badge cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

The recruit hurdled his bed to see what was the matter,

Away to the window he flew with 4.4 speed,

What he saw on the lawn was so exciting, he nearly peed.

The recruit bounded down the stairs like a grasshopper,

“Mom! Dad! Something just landed on our lawn, I think it’s a chopper!”

From the helicopter came a man who resembled Crocodile Dundee,

the recruit knew, it had to be the man, the myth, the legend, Santa Gundy!

The recruit couldn’t believe it, were his eyes playing a trick?

“Come play in the Big 12, son. The offenses run wild, and the defenses are quick!”

Santa Gundy had to go, this was just one of many stops on his recruiting trip,

But before leaving, the recruit was offered a scholarship.

“Now, CJ! now, SPENCER! now, JAYVEON and ISRAEL!

I have a feeling in my gut, and a tingle down my spine,

Off to Georgia! We have a running back to sign!”

The Pokes 2018 class is shaping up to be really solid. Especially after flipping two Arkansas commits, Sean Michael Flanagan and Tanner McCalister.

Oklahoma State fans shouldn’t be expecting too many surprises tomorrow, but the decision of Georgia running back, Lyn-J Dixon, still looms. The 4-star all-purpose back is picking between Clemson and Oklahoma State, and should be making his decision tomorrow.

Go Pokes!
