Texas to Texas Bowl
The Hokies finished the regular season No. 22 in the CFP rankings with a 9-3 record. They closed conference play as second in their division behind the Miami Hurricanes and went 0-2 against AP ranked teams (Clemson and Miami) this year.
This will be the third meeting between the Cowboys and the Hokies. They split the series 1-1 with the home teams winning each game of a 1971-1972 Home-and-Home in Stillwater and Blacksburg.
