High Noon Highlights (12/4): Boynton off to Great Start in First Year

Here are your Monday Highlights!

It’s High Noon...

Mike Boynton Off to a Great Start

The Cowboys are 7-1 on the season and are on a four game winning streak after their victory over Mississippi Valley State yesterday. Head Coach Mike Boynton is only the 3rd coach in school history to start his career at Oklahoma State with a 7-1 or better record. The only two are Eddie Sutton and Sean Sutton. Boynton is in some good company for him to be mentioned with those names. Hopefully the Cowboys can continue their winning ways when the Wichita State Shockers come to town on Saturday.

Former Cowboy Golfer Announces Some Bad News

In his article in The Players’ Tribune, professional golfer and former Cowboy Morgan Hoffman, announces that he has been diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. This is a disease that causes muscles to deteriorate, and there unfortunately is no cure. He has decided to now spend his life in charity work, helping those with incurable diseases like his. His article is worth the read, so if you get the chance, I would highly recommend it.

2018 QB Gets Visit from Cowboy Coaching Staff

With some time off before the bowl game at the end of December, the Cowboy coaching staff is out on the ‘crootin trail. All the offensive coaches went down to Denton, Texas to watch 2018 quarterback recruit Spencer Sanders in his playoff game over the weekend. In the game, Sanders went 17-23 passing for 267 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also ran ten times for 45 yards. The Denton Ryan Raiders went on to win against the Monterey Plainsmen 49-28. The Raiders take on the Coronado Mustangs in the next round of playoffs next Saturday. Good luck to Spencer and his team!
