Boone Pickens Stadium will have changed a bit by the home opener versus Tulsa in September. The bleachers in the stadium will be revised to give each fan a little more space: approximately 4-9 inches per seat, according to the Tulsa World,

The current capacity of 60,218 will be reduced to 56,790 with the change, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. There has only been one true sellout of BPS since the 2009 renovation (2013 versus Baylor) and the crowds have only broken 59,000 seven times in the last 4 years.
The larger, fewer seats will improve the overall gameday experience and make the stadium look fuller ... especially when all the Greeks leave midway through the third quarter. (Seriously, quit doing that. Your booze can wait.)
