There have been some big weekends before, but honestly, this could be one of the biggest and most memorable weekends for Oklahoma State athletics ever. This is especially impressive considering there’s no football.

And it’s already off to a great start.

Men’s Tennis

The Cowboys are in Charlottesville, Virginia for the ITA National Indoors Tournament. They started it off with a 4-2 upset victory over No. 6 Northwestern this morning. They’ll take on No. 3 Ohio State tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. ET.

Women’s Tennis

The No. 5 ranked Cowgirls are in Lake Nova, Florida today to face No. 4 Stanford for College MatchDay. It’s a chance to avenge last season’s National Championship game loss. The match begins at 5 p.m.

Baseball

OSU baseball’s season gets underway today at 8 p.m. with game one of a 3-game series at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. That’s followed by a stop at Arizona State in Tempe for a game on Tuesday. (Micah will have a weekend preview coming up before first pitch tonight)

Wrestling

No. 1 undefeated Oklahoma State welcomes No. 2 undefeated Penn State to Stillwater on Sunday at 3 p.m. for the biggest wrestling match of the year! At last check, there were a couple thousand tickets still available. OSU fans, if you can get to Stillwater, be there.

Don’t let Big Daddy down!

Men’s Basketball

It’s Bedlam. There’s nothing bigger in any sport than welcoming your biggest rival to campus for a showdown. Saturday at 3 p.m. Oklahoma State will go for their first season sweep over OU in basketball since the 2003-04 season. And as Tyler pointed out, it’s going to be a rowdy crowd!

Throw in the Cowgirl basketball team in Waco to face No. 5 Baylor on Saturday, the Equestrian team riding against TCU in Stillwater RIGHT NOW, the softball team in Clearwater, Florida to compete in the Michelle Smith Pediatric Cancer Foundation Invitational, and the Women’s golf team in New Orleans to take part in the AllState Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship starting Sunday, there are a TON of opportunities for Oklahoma State fans to celebrate this weekend!
