Earlier today, we talked about how high of a seed Oklahoma State could get come Selection Sunday (I think we can all agree OSU is a lock at this point).
While ESPN’s March Madness Bracket guru Joe Lunardi has the Cowboys as a 6-seed in his latest projection, I thought it was only fair to see where some other prognosticators have the Cowboys seeded.
TeamRankings.com has OSU as an 8-seed and projects them to finish the regular season with a 20-11 record. That would mean going 1-2 in their final three games. They also project OSU as a 91% lock to get a bid.
CBS Sports (home of Doug Gottlieb) has OSU as a 9-seed, which is the lowest I’ve seen as of late. They have them facing 8-seed Xavier in the first round game in Greenville, with the winner facing 1-seed North Carolina.
The following projections came up before Oklahoma State beat Kansas State in Manhattan on Wednesday.
Bleacher Report currently has the Cowboys as a 7-seed in Greenville, facing 10-seed Marquette. The winner would (likely) play 2-seed Duke.
SportingNews.com has the Cowboys as an 8-seed, but does have some nice things to say about the team.
The Big Lead has lists Oklahoma State as a 7-seed.
Finally, MyStatesman out of Austin has OSU as a 7-seed as well.
