Baseball is back in Allie P. Reynolds!
The Texas State Bobcats will be in Stillwater for the weekend, with a game at 4 p.m. today, 3 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to all three games is free so there’s no reason not come out and fill up Allie P.
One thing the Cowboys will look to do this weekend is improve their hitting. The Cowboy bats struggled in their Arizona, minus their last game against Arizona State where they scored 18 runs. The Pokes will look to continue that momentum as they look toward the first home series.
After going 2-2 in the desert, the Cowboys have a batting average of .288. It’s still early in the season and the bats could be hot this weekend. The Cowboys’ rotation should stay with Tyler Buffett on the mound Friday, Jensen Elliott on Saturday, and Carson Teel on Sunday to round it out.
Look forward to hearing this quite a bit....
One of our favorite traditions started by accident. We hope it happens often at Allie P. in 2017 starting tomorrow! #GapBand #droppingbombs pic.twitter.com/CGRuLIkwyd

Texas State comes in 2-3, with a 4-0 loss to the Baylor Bears in San Marcus on Wednesday. Their team ERA is .287, just short of the Cowboys’. The Bobcats have a .320 opponent batting average and have already given up 41 runs this season. If ever there was a team for OSU’s bats to awaken against, this would be a good one.
Pitcher Carson Teel tells fans what they should look forward to:
