This weekend is Legends Weekend for Oklahoma State Men’s Basketball, and tonight, head coach Brad Underwood welcomed the attendees back to campus prior to the matchup with Texas Tech.
“This is something we want to do every year,” Underwood said. “Every great program brings their former greats back.”
Underwood talked to the legends and their families for a little over six and a half minutes.
He gushed about his team, saying how great they play together and how they are as people.
“This group of young men is high character,” Underwood said. “You would all be proud to have them as teammates in your locker room....you all know as former players how important it is to play for each other. [Leyton Hammonds and Phil Forte] have made sure that our group plays for each other. That’s when the win streak started and the losing stopped.”
Here’s the full video. I suggest you watch it, as there is a joke about Phil Forte and Mel Wright that is too good for me to spoil it.
