Looks like Mike Gundy’s staff wasn’t complete.
According to Bill Haisten, Tulsa World sports columnist, Oklahoma State has added Brian VanGorder as a defensive analyst to the staff.

As Haisten notes, VanGorder served as Notre Dame’s defensive coordinator from 2015-2016. He’s also run the defenses for Central Michigan (1998-1999), South Carolina (2007), and Auburn (2012) among other college teams, as well as the Atlanta Falcons (2008-2011). He spent last season as a defensive analyst for Georgia.
While analysts can’t work directly with players, they serve an important role of being able to analyse game tape and preview opposing teams.
VanGorder will join Bill Clay, who served as the Cowboys’ defensive analyst during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
