Earlier today, the dates and times for the 2017-2018 College Football Playoff were announced. Continuing the rotation of the New Year’s Six bowl games, this coming season’s semifinal games are the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl.

The last two seasons, the semifinal games were played on New Year’s Eve. This season, it goes back to the inaugural CFP with the games on New Year’s Day. So it begs the question, which day is better for the College Football Playoff?

Personally, I believe that New Year’s Day is better for the playoff games. Especially with the "Granddaddy of Them All" serving as one of the Semifinal games this year. It’s tradition for it to be played on New Year’s Day. However, viewer ratings have gone up in the last couple years with the games being played on New Year’s Eve. So there is arguments on both sides.

What do you think? Which is better for college football? For the semifinals to be played on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day? Participate in our poll below and leave us your thoughts!
