Oklahoma State Gets a 10 Seed in the Midwest Region

The Cowboys will face Michigan in the first round

NCAA Basketball: Kansas at Oklahoma State Rob Ferguson-USA TODAY Sports

After weeks of waiting and debating, Oklahoma State and fans know where the Cowboys are going dancing this year.

As announced moments ago on CBS, Oklahoma State will be the 10 seed in the Midwest region and will open against 7-seeded Michigan. The game will be played Friday, March 17th in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Oklahoma State players and fans seemed excited about the seeding.

Michigan is one of the hottest teams in the nation, winning seven of their last 8 and the Big 10 Championship over Wisconsin earlier today. If Oklahoma State can get past the Wolverines, they’ll face the winner of Louisville (2) and Jacksonville State (15).

At least one analyst thinks this match-up is good for Oklahoma State.

Here’s a look at the full Midwest Bracket which includes No. 1 seed Kansas and Iowa state with the 5-seed.

We’ll have plenty of more coverage coming up this week leading up to OSU’s NCAA Tournament opener on Friday!
